Historic $2 Million Minnetrista Home Burns
Firefighters fought a fire Wednesday that started in one of the oldest historic homes on Lake Minnetonka.
“That’s where we run into interesting things as the fire progresses,” said Mound Fire Chief Jeff Andersen.
The fire started around 10 a.m. at a home that is listed for sale, more than $2 million, at 4750 Baycliffe Rd. in Minnestrista.
Andersen said he didn’t know who called the fire in nor if the homeowner was in the home before the fire.
The fire has been controlled and Andersen said there were around 23 trucks, 125 firefighters and several tanks of water brought in to control the blaze.
